About Sara Bradstock

Sara Bradstock

Sara Bradstock is one of Britain’s most respected National Hunt racehorse trainers, known for her deep horsemanship, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to the welfare and performance of every horse under her care.
Based at Letcombe Bassett, near Wantage in Oxfordshire, Sara runs the family’s training yard alongside her husband, former jockey Mark Bradstock, where together they have produced top-class jumpers from a small, close-knit operation. Their hands-on approach and belief in quality over quantity have earned them a reputation for developing tough, talented horses capable of competing at the very highest level.
Sara played a key role in training Coneygree, who made history in 2015 by becoming the first novice in over 40 years to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup — a testament to her skill, patience, and intuitive understanding of each horse’s individual character and potential.
With decades of experience in the sport, Sara combines traditional training values with modern insight. Her philosophy is simple: happy, healthy horses run better. Every horse at the yard receives individual attention, careful management, and a tailored training plan designed to bring out its best.
Whether working with seasoned chasers or young prospects, Sara’s approach remains rooted in empathy, dedication, and a lifelong love of horses and racing.
